Create an account to receive a digital wallet that will allow you to spend and receive your complementary currency. To help you get started, Sustainable Communities Foundation will put at least $50 worth of your local currency into your wallet. Once you set up your account you can purchase more currency or earn it through various programs.
Individuals
Set up your personal account by going to below link. If you are a college student or a teacher, select the appropriate button below.
In addition, anyone who refers a new account holder who signs up, will earn $50 worth of their local currency.
Teachers, Staff & Administrators
If you are a pre-school instructor, a K-12 teacher, college instructor or trade school instructor or an administrator or school staff member, we have a special program for school employees that not only provides for a signup bonus but a monthly grant. Follow the below sign up instructions for details.
Non-Profits
Non-profit organizations include NGOs and federal, state and local governments.
Non-profit organizations provide a spectrum of much needed services but are usually underfunded, relying primarily on donations, grants and tax revenue.
Non-profits can sell their local currency and earn a 40% commission, plus a matching amount of currency, for an effective commission of 80%.
College Students
If you are a college student, we have a special program for such students that not only provides for a signup bonus but a monthly scholarship grant. Follow the below sign up instructions for details.
Businesses
Businesses, especially small local businesses, are an important part of the program. In addition to accepting currency, there is another way they can benefit.
Just as lottery systems pay businesses a commission on ticket sales, Sustainable Communities Foundation will offer a commission for selling the local currency. In fact, the Foundation will pay a 30% commission (6 times that of most lotteries) plus a matching amount of the complementary currency for an effective commission of 60%!
